Syair Si Burung Pingai ~ Hamzah Fansuri

Mac 14, 2007

Hamzah sesat di dalam hutan
pergi uzlat berbulan-bulan
akan kiblatnya picek dan jawadan
inilah lambat mendapat Tuhan

Unggas pingai bukannya balam
berbunyi siang dan malam
katanya akal ahl al-alam
Hamzah Fansuri sudahlah kalam

Tuhan hamba yang punya alam
timbulkan Hamzah yang kalam
ishkinya jangankan padam
supaya warit di laut dalam

Cinta..sayang..?

A battle of wits

A typical scenario at a fisherman's settlement..

Father

When i took this shot,it simply shows how a father would protect his children..

The father ..the provider..the protector.

Learning curveS

One thing i learn from my new hobby,is i become more aware of my surroundings,i interact more with people and i do talk to them listening to their stories, worries and woes.

Those days i used to shoot some photos and just walk away from the place, but now i could sit with them and just have a chat.

Not only i am learning the subject of photography but i am also learning on the subject of the Greatness of Allah

Modernisation

Now,how many of us would allow their children to jumpa from a boat and into a river without adult supervision nowadays?Even majority of the children now would never dare to do this? Are we becoming urbanite ?
The concept of playing around the neighbourhood seems to be an alien concept to children(including mine)..
This is what we call modernisation ( i think)?then its no fun at all.

Blowing bubbles by Paul Holmes

Carried on a soft whisper
Of a breeze
Little bubbles float aloft,
Delighting little children
With such simple pleasures;
A kaleidoscope of colours
Swirl around in circles
In rich fluidity
Of amethyst
And jade,
Sapphire
And gold;
Sadly, soon
Obliterated,
Erased out of existence.

Lips tremble,
But smiles
Return again
As soon as
Lips are pursed,
A gentle breath
Gives birth
To another
Gem of wonder -

A Bubble,
A Child’s rainbow globe;
Tenuous, momentary,
But a dream
Of beautiful fragility
That captivates
A sense of wonder.

Generations come and go
But this thrill will never die.

Masnavi- Rumi'

Woman is the radiance of God, she is not your beloved.
She is the Creator—you could say that she is not created.
(Masnavi, I:2437)
